NY Volunteer Succumbs to Cancer Following Honoring

Liverpool (NY) – The Moyers Corners Fire Department (MCFD) today mourns the loss of one of their own days after honoring him for his service.

Patrick Savage watched from his bedroom window Thursday evening as more than 70 firefighters arrived to his house on 10 fire trucks. Nearly every member of the MCFD was there to shake his hand.

Savage, 49, was battling cancer and recently discontinued his service as a member of the fire police at the MCFD’s Station 2. Savage died this morning, according to his wife Kelly Savage.
