Coroner Gary Watts said there was one fatality in the fire, but would not disclose any more information regarding the ongoing investigation.

Brick Lewis, a CFD spokesman, said firefighters were dispatched to the 500 block of Dogwood Street in the Rosewood neighborhood at 4 a.m.

Lewis said on arrival, firefighters observed heavy fire and smoke coming from the home. It took crews a little under an hour to completely extinguish the fire.
