NJ Apartment Fire Displaces Seven Families

Hoboken (NJ) – An early morning fire forced seven families out of a Hoboken apartment building, according to fire officials.

The two-alarm fire started in an apartment on the second floor of 403 Monroe Street, said Hoboken Chief Richard Blohm. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Fire officials arrived at the building at 4:16 a.m. and evacuated residents, he said. The fire was contained to the second-floor apartment, though the apartment below it sustained some minor water damage, he said.
