Injured Pennsylvania Firefighter Dies from Injures

An 18-year-old firefighter injured while battling a fire last week in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, has died, according to news reports.

According to WJAC (http://bit.ly/1CZRjvl), the county coroner said Jeffrey Buck was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. Monday after being heavily sedated at a medical facility for nearly a week after a burning porch roof collapsed at a house fire.

According to the U.S. Fire Administration report, Firefighter Buck, of Lawrence Township (PA) Volunteer Fire Company #1, was critically injured on March 3, 2015, while fighting a residential structure fire when the front porch of the home collapsed on him. Buck was rescued and transported to UPMC Altoona where he succumbed to a head injury. He had four years of service.
