A large fire broke out on Monday at the Coca-Cola bottling plant, reports cleveland.com.
Assistant Twinsburg Fire Chief Steven Basso said a 150-by-50 area filled with plastic and wood pallets caught fire about 3:40 p.m.
The fire shut down Highland Road between Chamberlin and Darrow roads. Plumes of smoke billowed 40 feet in the air.
“The smoke looked like a building,” Basso said.
No one was injured in the fire. At least two cars were damaged from the heat, Basso said.
Some three dozen firefighters from Twinsburg, Macedonia, Reminderville, Oakwood, Hudson and Northfield Center fought the fire for more than three hours.
Basso said they brought in excavating equipment to separate the pallets that are still burning with ones that have been doused with water.
