Firefighter Burned as Crews Battle Southern California Brush Fire

Firefighters from around Southern California assisted Los Angeles County (CA) firefighters battle an intense Santa Clarita brush fire that blackened more than 350 acres near Magic Mountain.

One home was damaged and one firefighter suffered minor burns.

A mandatory evacuation had been ordered by the L.A. County Sheriff’s for a brief time, but all residents were allowed to return to their homes by nightfall.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and the damage estimated is still being tabulated.
