Gov. Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency in Lake and Napa counties after a wildfire charred more than 60 square miles within 12 hours, prompting thousands to flee their homes, reports kron.com
According to a proclamation issued by Brown this morning, the California National Guard has been mobilized to help fight the fire, which started in Lake County and spread into Napa County.
