Columbia (MD) House Reportedly Explodes

Rescuers are rushing to the scene of a three-alarm fire at a home in Columbia, Maryland, reports NBC Washington (http://bit.ly/1iN2z6C)

Callers reported that the home “exploded,” according to Tweets from the Howard County Fire and Emergency Services Dept. One utility worker was hurt, though it is not clear how he was injured.

When firefighters got to the townhome in the 12200 block of Sleepy Horse Lane, one townhome was “fully engulfed” in flames, firefighters said. The fire then spread to neighboring units.
