The Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at George Washington University celebrated its 10th year of supporting the D.C. Firefighters Burn Foundation by donating more than $47K, which is one of the Foundation’s largest annual donations.
For the past decade, PKA has hosted various fundraisers on campus to raise money and awareness for the Foundation and fire safety on campus which culminates in a Fireman’s Challenge, a competition between campus sororities.
Founded as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in 2004 by active and retired Washington, D.C. firefighters, the Foundation is dedicated to assisting in the recovery and rehabilitation of injured firefighters and burn survivors through burn research, treatment and rehabilitation programs.
