The InterAgency Board recently released a paper detailing is recommendations on how to deal with the firefighter cancer epidemic.

The document, Recommended Actions Related to Reducing the Known Risk of Cancer in Fire Fighters (June 2016), offers thoughts on how to reduce cancer incidence and mortality among firefighters, and contains eight major recommendations to this end, including improving firefighter education on cancer, implementing an exposure reporting database, and post-fire considerations for exposure.

The InterAgency Board for Equipment Standardization and Interoperability (IAB) is a voluntary collaborative panel of emergency preparedness and response practitioners from a wide array of professional disciplines that represent all levels of government and the voluntary sector.
