Fire photographer Rick McClure shared some photos from a recent fatal house fire in Sun Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
According to a news report, a man and a woman were killed in the fire, which occurred July 30, 2016.
Fire crews found fire showing from the attic and three windows of the one-story, hacienda-style home, the report said.
Firefighters managed to remove two adults from the residence who appeared to be not breathing and without a pulse, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. Rescue personnel administered CPR and successfully restored a pulse to both victims, who were taken to a hospital in grave condition where they later died, he said. The victims reportedly had been married for more than 60 years.
Another woman was taken to a hospital after suffering significant smoke exposure and burned fingers during multiple attempts to enter the burning home before firefighters arrived, the report said. A firefighter was also treated for extreme exertion.
