Chicago Fire Crews Respond to Fire at Abandoned Industrial Site

In late March 2017, Chicago firefighters responded to this fire at an abandoned industrial site. Steve Redick shared some photos and videos from the fire scene.

Redick reported that the the massive industrial complex was vacant and in disrepair. A rubbish-type fire deep in the building produced smoke conditions that made interior operations very dangerous. Fire operations took a few hours and required the use of search lines and thermal imaging cameras.
