Lightweight Construction Dangers Among Topics at NJ Deputy Chiefs Meeting

Prof. Glenn Corbett speaks on the dangers of lightweight construction

Fire Engineering Technical Editor Glenn Corbett recently lectured on the dangers of lightweight construction in multiple dwellings before the New Jersey Deputy Fire Chiefs Association in Kearny, New Jersey.

Corbett discussed the inadequacies of our model building codes in the way they address these “toothpick towers.” He will speak on the same topic at FDIC International 2017. Mike Terpak of the Jersey City (NJ) Fire Department spoke on the use of tactical worksheets on the fire ground and other tops.
