The Central Kitsap (WA) Fire & Rescue designed this PIERCE rear mount as a dedicated truck company to serve a rapidly growing community with high-rises, says Division Chief Jeff Sorenson. The unit also has firefighting capability if the need arises while units are awaiting a pumper. It also responds to medical calls, motor vehicle accidents, technical rescues (as a regional resource), and hazmat responses. Features/Equipment: Arrow XT chassis with a 245½-inch wheelbase and a six-seat cab with exterior storage compartments at the lower rear; DETROIT DD13 525-hp diesel engine; WATEROUS CPK-2 200-gpm pump with two 1¾-inch front bumper preconnects; UPF 300-gallon water tank; 105-foot aerial ladder with 500-pound tip load and 14-foot outrigger spread; 156 feet of ground ladders; rear AMDOR roll-up door and two wheel well sleeve compartments that store eight spare SCBA cylinders; PIERCE backup cameras; HOLMATRO rescue tools; ZOLL AED; and light and power with an ONAN…
