FDNY Crews Rescue Woman Trapped in Elevator

Firefighter news

Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters rescued a woman who was trapped in an elevator for an entire weekend in New York City, according to reports.

WABC says the FDNY responded to a townhouse on the Upper East Side just after 10 a.m. Monday and rescued the victim, who was stuck between the second and third floors of the building. The woman had reportedly been trapped there since Friday.

Authorities say no one else was home while she was working in the private home. Firefighters forced open the door and EMS transported the victim to the hospital in stable condition.
