Woman Reunites with Firefighter Who Saved Her from Silverdale (WA) Home

A woman who was rescued from her burning home in Silverdale publicly thanked the man who saved her, reports KOMO News.

Dawn Ruth didn’t know her place was burning until Dylan, a Master Chief in the Navy and the Chief of the Boat of the USS Pennsylvania Trident submarine, happened to drive by and bang on the door after seeing flames. He was on his way to drop off his son at a high school across the street.

The fire department says the fire started under the back deck near a motorcycle, but they don’t know if a nearby space heater was the cause. They said the fire quickly spread into the house where this could have turned deadly.
