Photos: Crews Increase Containment of Maria Fire in CA

Fire tears down a hillside in Southern California

Rick McClure shared some images of firefighters working on the lines at the Maria Fire on South Mountain in Ventura County, California.

According to reports, the fire began Thursday, October 31, 2019, and burned more than 9,000 acres. Authorities ordered thousands of people to flee. but the fire is now largely contained and evacuation orders have been lifted.
