One Dead in Toronto High-Rise Fire

One person was killed in a high-rise fire Friday in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, according to reports.

Firefighters found a body on an eighth floor balcony early Saturday, CBC News reports. The fire in the 15-story structure went to five alarms, and burned six stories of the structure.

Nearly 700 people were displaced, the report noted, and the death was initially being treated as suspicious. Toronto paramedics assessed six people at the scene and took one to hospital in serious condition.
