According to a report, 200 Fire Department of New York (FDNY) firefighters have died from 9/11-related illnesses.
CBS News discussed the report, which came from the Ray Pfeifer Foundation, a charity organization that assists 9/11 first responders with medical needs that are not covered by insurance. According to the foundation, retired FDNY captain Dennis Gilhooly of Engine Company 67, and retired firefighter Brian Casse of Engine Company 294, both died recently, making them the 199th and 200th instance of deaths attributed to members work during and after the 9/11 terror attacks on New York City.
