Charlottesville (VA) Home Damaged by Fire

Charlottesville Fire Department says a home was significantly damaged by a fire, reports CBS 19 News.

Firefighters initially trying to fight the fire with hose lines from inside the structure, but they had to evacuate as conditions got worse and had to attack the flames from the outside instead.

Fire officials say the house was unoccupied at the time as it was undergoing renovations.

It took several hours to put the flames out, and crews will remain on the scene to prevent any flareups.
