Boston (MA) Firefighters Control Four-Alarm Fire

Boston (MA) firefighters responded to a structure fire in South Boston that went to four alarms.

Crews found havy fire through the roof of the 2. 1/2-story duplex on East Seventh Street. Video posted to social media showed flames blowing out of the structure. Firefighters used multiple hoselines to control the fire, which impacted an attached building, where residents safely escaped.

According to the department’s Twitter feed, two firefighters sustained minor injuries. Six adults and one child were displaced. Damage was estimated at $2M.
