One of the greatest gifts I have received in return has been the opportunity to break bread and speak with members who serve in a variety of capacities within their organizations. They share stories about past and present leaders within their organizations. Sometimes the stories are good and sometimes not, but I have come to realize that the biggest problem in an organization in California or New Mexico is usually not much different from the one in Florida, Maryland, or New Jersey—intentionally flawed leadership.
