OPEN Incorporated, makers of the SafetyPAD suite of technology products for Fire and Emergency Medical Services, announces that the Cincinnati (OH) Fire Department has deployed its system agency-wide.
Doing so allows the organization to provide rapid, appropriate and timely response regardless of the conditions in the field.
“We’re very happy with the entire SafetyPAD operating system,” said Cincinnati Fire Department District Chief Alan Sedam. “It has performed above expectations and the support from their team has made the difference. Quality Assurance and improvement in patient care is a high priority for the Department and we are proud that OPEN Inc. is helping to make that happen.”
Cincinnati Fire will be taking full advantage of SafetyPAD’s Enterprise Reporting and CaseFlow modules. OPEN’s unique web-based interface allows agencies to obtain detailed analysis of calls, procedures, status of report preparation, monitoring and corrective action requirements, as well as customizable reports to meet elected officials and the public’s need for information.
OPEN created several custom features for the SafetyPAD Mobile product through feedback from the Department. “We had a very aggressive schedule with multiple customizations. Through a combined effort between Cincinnati Fire Department and OPEN, we were able to pull off a very successful field deployment,” said Scott Streicher, OPEN’s Director of Operations.
Cincinnati Fire has a storied history and is known for establishing the first professional, fully paid fire department in the United States. The organization protects the city 24/7 and operates 26 fire stations throughout the city, including 27 Medic Units, 26 Paramedic Engines, Aircraft Rescue and various support units. Cincinnati Fire Department responds to approximately 75,000 incidents every year.
“Cincinnati is a progressive agency that is now using advanced technology to enhance patient care and give personnel the tools they need to make their jobs easier,” added Josh Austin, OPEN’s Director of I.T.
The system launch for Cincinnati Fire comes on the heels of successful SafetyPAD deployments for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, City of Miami Fire and adds another large Ohio agency to OPEN’s successes that already includes the Columbus Division of Fire.
