Fire in Boston Triple-Decker Goes to Four Alarms

Fire crews battled a four-alarm fire today at a triple-decker fire in Boston, Massachusetts, according to the Boston Fire Department.

Firefighters responded at 7:30 am to 105 Murdock St. in Brighton for a building fire, according to the fire department’s Twitter account.

There were no reports of missing residents, and searches were negative. Fourteen people reportedly lived in the structure.

Two civilians were treated and transported by Boston EMS from a car vs fire engine accident at the scene. The injuries were nonlife-threatening.

Update (Noon Eastern): A total of five firefighters were injured in this fire. One adult male was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Boston Fire Department Twitter noted that a neighbor provided assistance at the scene before the arrival of firefighters by putting up a ground ladder, allowing two residents to escape.
