Firefighter May Face Charges in Death of Asiana Crash Survivor

A San Francisco (CA) firefighter could face charges in the death of a 16-year-old girl who survived the crash of an Asiana Airlines plane earlier this year only to be killed by responding apparatus.

Police have completed their investigation into the death of the Asiana Airlines crash survivor and handed findings to prosecutors Friday to review, according to the local CBS station (http://cbsloc.al/173pkpH). They were expected to decide within two weeks whether the firefighter driving the truck that ran over Ye Mengyuan would face any charges.

Ye suffered crushing injuries to her head and pelvis, according to the autopsy report that the San Mateo County coroner gave to the girl’s family this week.
