Four Firefighters, Civilian Injured in D.C. Fire Apparatus Accident

Four firefighters and a civilian were injured in an accident involving a fire apparatus yesterday in Washington, D.C.

WUSA9 reported (http://on.wusa9.com/HrOV5U) that It appeared the fire truck was returning from an earlier call when it was struck by the other vehicle, according to a district fire official. At this point it is unclear if the fire apparatus was stopped or moving.

The civilian was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, while three firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to local hospitals. Another firefighter was treated for minor injuries.
