Orange County (CA) Firefighter Suffers Heart Attack at Station, Dies

A 49-year-old Orange County (CA) firefighter suffered an apparent heart attack at a station and died early Monday.

Greg Hennessey was found by his colleagues in full cardiac arrest at OCFA Station 45 in Rancho Santa Margarita about 9:40 a.m., reported the local Patch affiliate (http://bit.ly/1jktQua). Colleagues transported him to an area hospital where he was declared dead.

Hennessey, a former Eagle Scout who worked for the department for 24 years, was an apparatus engineer who mentored youths in the Explorer programs in RSM and Mission Viejo.
