Philadelphia (PA) Fire Department Unveils Fire Safety App

The Philadelphia Fire Department is poised to launch a free fire safety app Thursday.

Action News reports that (http://bit.ly/QquEz4) the application allows users to sign up for a smoke detector installation, learn how to make a home escape plan, or find tips on protecting their families in the event of a natural disaster.

In addition, there are listings for city hospitals, fire houses, and also a link to the newly launched Red Cross app. For buffs, there’s even a link to the local fire radio.
