GREG FISHER, a 39-year veteran of the fire service, retired from the University of Illinois Fire Service Institute as assistant fire education specialist in 1980. He is chief of the Pesotum (IL) Fire Protection District and the emergency response team leader for Eli Lilly in Clinton, Indiana. He retired after 26 years as a captain with the Champaign (IL) Fire Department. He has a bachelor’s degree in fire science management. He has coordinated the annual Explorer-Cadet “Hands On Training” Live Fire School since 2003.
