Fire-Dex giving away a custom chopper at FDIC 2008

Fire-Dex is announcing its newest and most lightweight and flexible product line–FX Gear–with a one-of-a-kind event, “Take the Fire-Dex Challenge” at the Fire Department Instructor’s Conference (FDIC) April 10-12 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

To participate in the “Take the Fire-Dex Challenge,” firefighters wear FX Gear while competing against an opponent in a firefighter-inspired obstacle course for the chance to win Fire-Dex’s custom built, one-of-a-kind Orange County Choppers bike called “Heat of the Battle.”

The FX Gear line has three custom comfort features:

  • ergonomic leg–designed with comfort in mind, it is shaped in a foreword firefighting position and allows for an increased range of movement

  • drag rescue device–removable for cleaning, thereby reducing the potential for damage to the turnout gear caused by webbing

  • seamless collar–less bulk, smaller sized and has improved interface with the SCBA face mask

“Take the Fire-Dex Challenge” participants who complete the obstacle course are also entered into a drawing to win a set of FX Turnout Gear autographed by Paul Teutul Sr. to take home after the show.
