What to See at FDIC 2013: F.O.O.L.S. Brotherhood Bash

“The Brotherhood Bash social gathering sponsored by the Indy Metro F.O.O.L.S. chapter is our way of saying welcome to Indy not only to other F.O.O.L.S. members but to all who come to FDIC to better themselves and take something back to their departments,” says Manuel Navarro, president of the Indy Metro F.O.O.L.S. “It is our opportunity to help spread the voice of the Brotherhood. We hold the bash during FDIC because there is no better gathering of firefighters who share the passion for the fire service.”

Navarro continues, “I look forward to getting my battery regenerated at the FDIC Opening Ceremony. FDIC to me is a shot in the arm. It is for talking shop with old friends and making new life-long friends along the way.”

“I have been going to FDIC for about 20 years now, and the Indy Metro F.O.O.L.S. have been hosting this event for about 15 years,” he adds.

His advice to first-time attendees? “Attend classes and learn during the day. Take advantage of all formal and informal networking opportunities.”
