Fire Expo 2011 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania will mark the beginning of a new distribution strategy for American LaFrance as the company will open sales of its LTI Ladders to select North American and international fire apparatus manufacturing partners.
“The LTI Ladder Series constitutes the premier aerial product offering in today’s market,” says American LaFrance President Torben von Staden. “By evolving our LTI distribution strategy, we can partner with other OEM’s seeking to strengthen their aerial product offering and bring new technology and methods to global partners.”
As part of its North American offering, American LaFrance will make available the Squrt and TeleSqurt product lines, as well as all rear mount ladders and rear mount platforms. American LaFrance has had success with its TeleSqurt product oversees, but will look to expand into developing markets with the full LTI product line.
At the recent FDIC show in Indianapolis, American LaFrance unveiled its new 2012 Eagle chassis, which will also be available to other fire apparatus manufacturers. “The fire industry is very competitive largely because there are many apparatus manufacturers with strong regional customer bases,” says Kevin Hyde, American LaFrance’s Vice President of Fire Operations. “By partnering with the best, we allow those companies to differentiate their product line by providing them access to a proven fire chassis platform combined with the elite aerial product in the market.”
All LTI aerial customers will receive the same support as American LaFrance customers receive today with aerial training specialists deployed from the company’s LTI facility in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Full time parts and service technicians are also available, along with a refurbishment center located within the LTI Ephrata facility.
