The City of Wildwood (NJ) purchased this PIERCE pumper under the squad company concept. Chief Daniel F. Speigel says the pumper responds primarily on the east side of the boardwalk and the beach because of its 4 × 4 capability. As a squad, it carries a variety of equipment for specialized rescues and eliminates the need for a second vehicle for water emergencies. The flat-roof cab allows the vehicle to negotiate the town’s beach tunnel.

  • CUMMINS ISL 9 450-hp diesel engine;

The City of Cornwall (ON) Fire Services designed this FORT GARRY FIRE TRUCKS rescue pumper to be self-sufficient. Deputy Chief Bruce Doing says the pumper is first out from Station 2 in the eastern part of the city. It has a larger water tank and a pump panel behind a roll-up door to protect it from the elements during a response. It responds to fires, emergency medical services assistance calls, motor vehicle accidents, gas leaks, hazmat emergencies, and building alarms.

The truck has a walk-in body, which provides adequate storage and an area for donning/doffing equipment in a climate-controlled environment. It can also deploy up to six rescue tools.
