
APPARATUS DELIVERIES
Salt Lake County, UT, recently took delivery of four pumpers built by Pierce Manufacturing Inc. Equipped with a Waterous 1,500-gpm pump and a 750-gallon tank, the units are mounted on a Pierce Arrow chassis with a 178-inch wheelbase. They are powered by a Detroit 8V927A diesel engine with Allison HT-740 automatic transmission.

This 1985 Duplex/Thibault 85-foot aerial combination is in service at the U.S. Army Picatinny Arsenal Fire Department, Dover, NJ. Manufactured by Pierre Thibault Inc. in Canada, this Model QWT 88 has a Duplex chassis, a Detroit 8V71 turbo diesel engine, and Allison HT740 transmission.
The pump is a Hale QSM F100 1,000 gpm. The aerial ladder is a Thibault 85-foot Model 115 60P. Also featured is a remote controlled ladder nozzle.

The Fern Creek County, KY, Fire Department has taken delivery of this 1985 Pirsch unit built on a White chassis. It has a 1,250-gpm pump and carries 2,000 gallons of water. It also features a Cummins six-cylinder engine, Allison HT-740D transmission, and a 185-inch wheelbase chassis.
