- The Continental Village Fire Department in Peekskill, New York, uses its MARION BODY WORKS pumper as a source engine and to support its rescue truck at motor vehicle accidents, according to former chief Bruce Paupst.

- The Wyandot East Fire District in Nevada, Ohio, designed this SMEAL pumper with a large water tank to cover a mostly rural area, a low overall height to clear a village railroad overpass, and generous storage space, Chief Eric Benson says. The unit replaces a rescue van and responds to MVAs and EMS calls.

- The Colfax Township (MI) Fire Department designed its KME pumper to provide better visibility and specified a new style chassis and a topmount pump panel, explains Chief Marvin Bowman. The unit also includes a larger pump than that of the previous unit and foam for special applications.
