The Cornwells Volunteer Fire Company in Bensalem Township, Pennsylvania, replaced an articulated elevating platform of a lower height with this E-ONE platform quint. According to Chief Jim Leonardo, platforms can hold more rescuees than aerials. The unit better serves the current needs of the jurisdiction, which includes a hotel and high-rises.

The Oklahoma Department of Homeland Security has placed in service eight technical rescue trailers built by FOSTER RESCUE PRODUCTS. Committee member John Gibbon, a battalion chief with the Edmond (OK) Fire Department, says that these units, which are distributed around the state, provide a capability for technical rescue, particularly for smaller fire departments.

The Deptford Township (NJ) Fire Department designed this ELITE FIRE APPARATUS pumper (one of three) for general firefighting. Chief Stephen M. Hubbs say the units are built for maneuverability and have low hosebeds for safety and larger water tanks for calls on limited-access highways.
