The Bath Township Fire Department of Lima, Ohio, has recently received this 100-foot Sutphen platform. It has an Allison automatic transmission, a 6-71 Detroit Diesel engine, a Hale 1000-gpm pump, 1000 feet of 4-inch supply hose, and 153 feet of ground ladders. Air is piped to the platform for masks.

The Blackwood Fire Company No. 1 of Gloucester Township, N. J., is the proud owner of this Pierce with an 85-foot Snorkel mounted on a Hendrickson chassis. It has a 1250-gpm pump, a Detroit Diesel 8V-71 engine with an automatic transmission, and a full hose bed.

The West Albany Volunteer Fire District of Colonie, N. Y., recently took delivery of a custom-built Hahn pumper. The unit, which is powered by a Detroit Diesel 6-7 1N engine with an Allison HD-640 automatic transmission, has a 1250-gpm Hale pump. It carries 1200 feet of 3-inch, 1000 feet of 2 1/2-inch hose and 150 feet of 2 1/2-inch preconnected hose. Both the top and bottom Mattydales have 150 feet of 1 1/2-inch preconnected hose. It also has an Akron 60-gpm in-line foam system and a 6000-watt Onan built-in generator with two top-mounted telescoping quartz lights.

The Winterport, Maine, Fire Department has recently placed this FMC pumper in service. The unit, mounted on a Chevy C-65 chassis and powered by a Chevy 427 V-8 engine with a five-speed transmission and power steering, features a 1000-gpm Bean two-stage pump with a 750-gallon steel tank. It also has twin heated booster reels with electric rewind, stainless steel pump panel, rear 1 1/2-inch preconnect, and storage space for equipment in the compartments.

This Emergency One Sentry twin pumper was recently delivered to the Longmont, Colo., Fire Protection District. Built on a GMC 6500 chassis, its standard equipment includes a 500-gallon aluminum tank, stainless steel pump panel, a twin pump system, a Hannay booster reel, a Hale relief valve, an electric primer, tank level gage and an engine pump cooler. The unit also features a high-side body and a diamond plate cover for the hose reels.

Caracas, Venezuela, has taken delivery of this Firebird 90 fire fighting and aerial rescue unit. It is South America's first platform. It can reach up to nine stories with a 750-pound capacity 3 by 7-foot platform. Its 58-foot horizontal reach will extend over a three-story building.

It features a 100-foot Thibault ladder, full compartmentation on both sides, Allison automatic transmission and a Maxidyne diesel. It is housed with a matching Mack pumper put in service a year previous.
