Ladder Towers, Inc. is introducing its newest aerial, the 75-foot Aqua Stix. The unit features a 1000-gpm integral telescopic waterway, remote electro-hydraulic water monitor and a fire pump.

The West Bend, Wis., Fire Department has put in service a 1500-gallon tanker which can be converted to a pumper when the area it serves gets hydrants, by reducing the tank to 750 gallons and installing a pump. Barnett Brothers was the builder.

The Mercer, Pa., Fire Department has purchased a pumper-tanker from Grumman Emergency Products. The unit, built on a 256-inch-wheelbase GMC chassis with tandem axles, has a Waterous 1250-gpm pump and a 2000-gallon tank. The top-mounted pump panel has 19 gages and controls.

The Stephens City, Va., Fire Department recently received this Pierce Arrow pumper from Pierce Manufacturing Co. Powered by a Detroit Diesel 8V-92TA engine with an Allison HT-740D transmission, it has a Waterous 2000-gpm single-stage pump and 750-gallon water tank.

The Broadview, III., Fire Department has taken delivery of an American LaFrance Century pumper. The unit has a Detroit Diesel turbocharged engine, Allison automatic transmission, 1500-gpm two-stage pump, 750-gallon water tank and a special Broadview-style four-section hose bed with fiberglass skid-load trays.

This Pirsch 1500-gpm pumper is one of 16 recently delivered to the Houston, Tex., Fire Department. Built on a Spartan CFC-2000 chassis with a Detroit Diesel engine and an Allison HT-740 transmission, the unit has a Hale QSMF pump, a 500-gallon booster tank, a hose bed capacity of 2150 feet of 2 1/2-inch hose and three 1 1/2-inch crosslays.

The Blackhawk Fire Protection District of Milan, III., recently purchased a heavy rescue unit from Emergency One. Mounted on a Ford C-8000 tilt cab chassis with a Caterpillar engine, the unit features a walk-in rear enclosure with bench seats and a number of compartments.
