The Kansas City (KS) Fire Department placed in service three pumpers built by U. S. FIRE APPARATUS.

Features/Equipment:

• U.S. FIRE PUMP custom chassis with 12-inch raised-roof cab;
• CUMMINS L9 450-hp diesel engine;
• HALE Qmax single-stage, 1,500-gpm pump with 1½-inch front bumper line, preconnected crosslays, and deck gun discharge piping;
• HALE Foanlogix 2.1 Class A system, 2.1 gpm;
• 1,020-gallon water and 30-gallon foam tanks;
• stainless-steel body with ROM roll-up compartment doors and storage for spare SCBA cylinders, through-the-tank ladder storage; and
• WHELEN scene lighting.

The San Marcos (TX) Fire & Rescue Department designed this quint in tractor-drawn aerial style to address both multistoried buildings and narrow streets in its district. It was then built by SPARTAN ER FIRE APPARATUS.
