Five Chicago Firefighters, Civilian Seriously Injured in Apparatus Crash

A Saturday afternoon fire apparatus crash in Chicago left six people injured, five of them firefighters, according to news reports.

ABC 7 reported that the accident occurred when a driver tried to navigate an intersection as the apparatus were proceeding through it with lights and sirens on.

The driver of the vehicle, a white Chevy Impala, was hospitalized, along with five firefighters.
