KME Fire Apparatus, an industry-leading manufacturer of fire apparatus, announced the delivery of six (6) new Type 3 Interface Pumpers to the Santa Clara County Fire Department in Santa Clara, California.
The delivery of these six Interface pumpers will join dozens of KME units currently in service within the Santa Clara County Fire Department. The new Type 3 Interface Pumpers were specifically engineered by KME to handle the rigorous demands placed on these apparatus.
Built on an International 7400 4×4 crew cab, the Type 3 Interface Pumpers feature:
- Cummins 350 HP engine and Allison transmission
- 12 gauge galvanneal steel body with stainless steel wetside tank
- 500 gpm two stage PTO pump and 500-gallon water tank
- Secondary engine driven pump for pump-and-roll
