NJ Firefighter Seriously Injured During Truck Explosion Identified

MANSFIELD — Brian Richardson, a Florence Township (NJ) Fire Department (FTFD), was critically injured yesterday when the doors of the trailer blew open and struck him in the head on I-295, said New Jersey State Police.

Five other firefighters suffered minor injuries in the blast and were treated and released from a Mount Holly hospital. Richardson was taken by medevac helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, according to the state police.
