Rosenbauer America delivers pumpers to Bartow County, Georgia

The Bartow County Fire Department of Cartersville, Georgia, recently placed into service four Rosenbauer America Centurion pumpers, bringing the number of Rosenbauer pumpers that are in front-line service with the department to 14.

Built out of the company’s Central division in Lyons, South Dakota, each pumper is equipped with Hale Q-Max 1,250 GPM single-stage pumps, 1,000-gallon UPF poly water tanks and rescue-style compartmentation. The trucks are built on a Spartan MetroStar SFD chassis with Cummins ISC-370 motors.

“They are working wonderfully and we expect them to give us years of solid service,” said Chief Craig Millsap. “If it wasn’t for a special local sales tax to fund their purchase, we wouldn’t have been able to make this upgrade.” Funded by a voter-approved 1% limited-term sales tax, the department continues to eye expansion and expects to add another truck or two down the road, along with building an additional station and remodeling some of their existing stations.

The units were purchased through and delivered by Andy Blesch of Southern Emergency Products in Flintstone, Georgia.
