SUV Driver Dies in Crash with Fire Apparatus in SC

According to a report from WBTW, one person was killed and another was injured early Monday morning in a collision between an SUV and a fire apparatus in Hartsville, South Carolina.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) said that the incident occurred at about 12:45 a.m. when a Kia SUV travelling north hit a Freightliner fire truck travelling south on Ruby Road near Old Cannon Road, said SCHP Lance Corporal Nick Pye.

Pye said the driver of the SUV was killed, and the driver of the fire truck was transported to a local hospital.

No other information was immediately available.
