Truck chassis manufacturer NAVISTAR INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION CORPORATION is expanding its Navistar Technology and Engineering Center (NETC) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The expansion includes a new 26,000-square- foot office building and the hiring of more than 400 technicians and engineers. The NETC will be the development center for International`s Next Generation Vehicles (NGV), which will replace International`s medium vehicles. The first product will be introduced in 2001.

Navistar named Steve Koch vice president of sales and distribution for the truck business and Wayne Krzysiak vice president and general manager of the parts business center.
