D.C. Fire and EMS Under Fire for Allegedly Refusing Aid

A Washington, D.C., woman claims that D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel refused to take her to a hospital in December after she complained of breathing problems. Kimberley Kelsey says members showed up at her home but didn’t examine here and told her that it didn’t sound like she was having problems. Kelsey says members left without transporting her to a medical facility, but she later called 911 and was eventually taken to Georgetown University Hospital, where she spent days in intensive care.
