Molly Blasts Off!

Hi, boys and girls!

Welcome to Molly’s Kids Zone on!

My name is Molly, and I am a real fire dog. I love teaching fire safety to children.

One of the things I like about being a fire dog and mascot is being able to travel the United States sharing fire safety with boys and girls just like you!

Recently, I traveled to Florida to attend an event and share fire safety with children at the Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee. What a great time I had!

My friend, Kenn Bell, was there to record the experience for me and I couldn’t wait to share the video from the big day!

Last month, I was on Canadian television!

The Superpower Dogs segment I was in aired on Canada’s YTV’s TV show, The Zone!

While in Canada making an appearance as the Official Ambassador for Superpower Dogs at the Ontario Science Centre for their premier of the IMAX movie recently, I got to use my acting skills to film a segment with Jesse, one of the show’s hosts!

YTV is the #1 station in Canada with Kids 2-11 and moms and is in 11 MILLION HOMES across Canada. Pretty cool, huh?

During the filming, I felt so special. Jesse was so nice, and I had so much fun acting with him! Their camera operator, Adam, worked the camera like a pro. When Firefighter Dayna shared with everyone that it was my first time to act on camera (other than as a background actor), they were all surprised. That made me so happy!

Jesse interviewed Superpower Dogs Producer Taran Davies and got some superhero tips from me as he tried to find his own superpower!

YTV is Canada’s first dedicated network for kids and The Zone is Canada’s #1 after school time block The Zone is on air between the shows/cartoons and their hosts chat directly to the kids, perform skits, games, and sketches and visit events around Toronto, Canada, and internationally.

Enjoy the video from the segment!

Never go back inside a burning building. Be sure to get out and stay out!

Once you get to your outside meeting place, stay there and wait for your family to arrive.

Stay tuned for more dates coming soon!

Ask your grown-up to download my activity book, send a photo of you with one of the coloring pages, and I will send you a trading card!

One of you will have your photo in next month’s column!
