This Holiday Season … Gratitude the Yoga Way

By Claire Diab and Dennis Boyle

There is so much to be grateful for this year and every year. Gratitude should be a part of your everyday life. Just the mere fact that you wake up in the morning and get out of bed is such a gift.

During the holiday season, as we spend more time with family, co-workers, and friends, there are five important points that will bring about a sense of health and well-being physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

  1. Be Present. See and notice ALL that is around you.
  2. Be Thankful for ALL you have–your family, your friends, and the food before you.
  3. Take a Moment to Send Love and Happiness to those you know are grieving at the time–people who have lost a loved one, are going through a divorce or breakup, or have lost a home or job.
  4. Have Everyone Around the Holiday Table Hold Hands. Take a moment to say thanks–a prayer, quote or special thanks using your own words.
  5. Enjoy!

We want to say thank you for all you do. You save lives and help so many people in times of need. You give us all a sense of safety and protection.

Thank you.
