The American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) will present a 90-minute webinar “NFPA 13 Update: 2016 Edition” on September 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. CDT.
There are significant changes to NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, 2016 edition. This webinar will help attendees understand the decisions and reasons for the changes to NFPA 13 and how it will affect their business.
The webinar will be presented by James Golinveaux, a senior fellow of water suppression products for Tyco Fire Protection Products and the winner of the 2014 AFSA Parmelee Award. Golinveaux currently holds 12 U.S. patent families in automatic sprinkler technologies. He is a current member of the NFPA Standards Council, a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Fire Protection Research Foundation, as well as multiple other Boards and Councils including Factory Mutual Advisory, AFSA, NFSA, International Fire Sprinkler Association, and the Fire Sprinkler Association of Brazil. He has also served on NFPA 13 Technical Committee for the past 18 years and has chaired the storage task group for the last 13 years. Additionally, he is a technical committee member of NFPA 88A, 101, and 5000.
This program is free for AFSA members and costs $140 for non-members. This webinar offers 0.15 CEUs and 1.5 CPDs. There is a processing fee of $15 to acquire the CEU/CPD credits. The webinar content is still free to AFSA members, but in order to receive a certificate, attendees must pay a fee of $15.
