Five-Alarm Fire Burns Three Jersey City (NJ) Homes

Firefighters in Jersey City, New Jersey, were kept busy earlier this week with a number of serious fires, including a fire that went to five alarms and burned three homes.

ABC 7 reported that crews experienced water supply issues at the scene of Tuesday’s fire on Wegman Parkway.

“With that much volume of fire, you run out of water in about two minutes, that fast,” Jersey City Chief of Department Steven McGill said.

The fire displaced 21 people and three dogs. One firefighter was hospitalized with second-degree burns to the back of his neck.
